Those We Honor

You’ll find more than just fishing celebrities in this list. One can make a significant impact
on the lives of many without ever being well known. It is important to honor all of
those who had a great influence on the great sport of fishing, whether famous or not.
Corporate advances tend to be much more visible to us. For it’s their products that
shape the evolution of the sport of fishing.

“Professional angling hasn’t always been about the competition.” “It provided me a platform to share my passion with other people who might not always have the chance to get in the boat and throw a few casts.”
-Perry Good

Perry Good gets it. He is one of professional walleye fishing’s all-time winningest anglers. He’s the guy on the cover of the catalogs and magazines. You see him at ALL the sports shows and boat shows, yet he is one of the industry’s most-philanthropic anglers, donating a lifetime of gear, guide trips and maybe, most importantly, his time to make sure someone else has always had the opportunity to wet a line.

-Perry is arguably professional walleye angling’s biggest charitable name. He ALWAYS gives his time and resources to support the organizations that protect and promote fishing. His work consists of more than random donations. Perry engages and helps organizations fundraise and introduce both adults and kids to fishing. That is the reason he’s become a champion for sharing fishing traditions. Perry continues relationships with several of the Midwest’s biggest charities.
