Nomination Criteria: Individual
- Living or deceased
- At least 50 years of age
- MN resident for 25 years
- Must have made meritorious contributions to the sport of fishing
Nomination Criteria: Organization or Corporation
- Must be registered in Minnesota as a business entity
- Must have made meritorious contributions to the sport of fishing
Guidelines for Induction
- Incomplete packages will not be considered.
- Nominees are submitted by public at large.
- For consideration in upcoming nomination class, submissions must be received by August 1st. Submissions received after July 31st will be reviewed for the next induction class.
- There shall be up to 3 Individual Legends & 2 Corporate/Organization inductions each year
- Unelected Nominations will be considered for induction three years, consecutively.
- Game and/or fishing law violation conviction(s) may result in disqualification. All nominations should consider their nominee to live according to the six pillars of character – trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring and citizenship
Submission Checklist
- Nominations will not be considered if package is not fully submitted.
- Submit a digital color (preferred) photo of candidate – portrait or action shot
- Submit a brief biography of candidate.
- Submit an essay/resume of candidate of outstanding accomplishments
- References of up to three individuals who have supporting information or testimonials.
- Photocopies of any additional supporting information (paperwork will not be returned)
