- Catch Story: The power of the pike. Well it's fall and cool. The wife and I out for a little Wally fishing. We catch a few, they stop. It's too quite, must be a pike in the area. I grab the big stick, 10" leader, black hair jig with a 4 inch gulp alive minnow and game on. The wife with net in hand he made the 1st run, then the 2nd run on the 3rd run he was in the net. A quick photo, a quick measurement, and a quick release. The beauty of fall fishing!
