- Catch Story: This was a fish I caught earlier this year through the ice. She ate a live minnow on a 1/0 octopus hook with a splitshot. She was very heavy compared to other fish I hooked up to that day. Thought it was another walleye but this colorful beast came up through the hole. Was inside the shelter but still didn't have a scale with me this was very close for weight, I'd say, but she had to go back. I didn't want to kill this beautiful fish. So I just measured and sent her for someone else to enjoy another day.
