- Catch Story: Was ice fishing for sunnys / bluegills & crappies with my Dad and father-in-law while on our annual ice fishing trip to Minnesota when I hooked into this monster pumpkinseed! I thought I had a small northern on the line the way this one was fighting. The line actually got wrapped around the transducer on my flasher, but I was able to still reel up the line and land the fish, and when I saw what it was and how big it was I was really excited to get it! We've been coming to Minnesota annually for 20 years for the great ice fishing and this made our trip this year. Ice fishing in Minnesota is awesome! This is truly gods country.
