- Catch Story: I was fishing on Tuscarora Lake in the BWCA with my friend Tan Nguyen. We were fishing in a canoe trolling deep for Lake Trout with a 2oz keel weight followed by a blue and silver 2 3/4” jointed Shad Rap. I was winding in as we got to shallower water and hooked this 43" Northern Pike. It only took 10 minutes to land. But I was lucky to have Tan pull her in with our net (that was to small) and not capsize the canoe! We measured it, took pictures and released her back for someone else to catch her.
