- Catch Story: It was my first time fishing the Red River on the Minnesota side for the year. I was fishing the river bottom with a silver paddle tail and spent the majority of the day catching small Pike and Goldeye. When this tank hit I thought I had snagged and was pulling in a large branch. Finally got a glimpse of her when she hit the surface and was surprised to see such a beauty of a Walleye. I grabbed a quick measurement and picture before returning her to the river with a healthy release.
