- Catch Story: I fough the fish in 40 feet of water from 6:30 until around 7 p.m., and with the help of my friend Brandon Johnson, we pulled up a 62-inch lake sturgeon from an ice. We were fishing for walleye at the time and I was surprised when the rod almost ripped out of my hand and went down the hole. We were both using jigging rapalas and fathead minnows
