- Catch Story: We were fishing on Bald Eagle for Bass on Saturday morning. We were finding bass by pitching jigs in grass and reed beds. I pitched into a reed bed and as I was hopping the jig out I saw a big dark shadow following it and then my jig disappeared so I set the hook. As it turned and ran I recognized it as a Bowfin (Dogfish) from catching them at my cabin in Western Wisconsin. This was my first Minnesota Bowfin and definitely my personal best!
