- Catch Story: I was fishing with my seven year old daughter, Maddie, on Minnesota’s Lake Vermillion the morning of July 1st. We were casting along a rocky point when she saw a fish swirl just below the surface. A quick cast with her twister tail at the spot, two cranks on her reel, and a “Hey Dad, I’m snagged!”... Only her line was moving sideways fast. A few minutes later she landed this beautiful 16 1/2” smallmouth. Happy daughter and proud Dad!
