- Catch Story: After a day of small catches, my Dad, brother and I decided to cast a deep channel that ran between two shallower weed beds. This was a new area for us, and we didn't know if it would pay off or not. On my first cast into the drop-off, the fish came in like a rocket and nailed my husky jerk. After about a five minute fight, my dad was able to net it (after five failed attempts). As we brought the fish into the boat, my lure popped right out of it's mouth - it appeared I barely had it hooked with one treble.
