- Catch Story: I caught this fish at approximately 7:00 a.m. while fishing crappies with an Irv's Jig tipped with a minnow. I knew I had to keep the slack out of the line or risk losing him because I was using six pound test line with no leader. He made several runs after I got him to the boat. I played him from eight to ten minutes before netting him.
