- Catch Story: Fishing from the Dock at Head O Lake Resort on Lake Vermillion about 6:30 am, using a Zebko reel and ugly stick rod with single hook, leader and six pound test mono line. Had on a minnow and bobber, when the 50 inch Muskie hit the minnow, breached the water in the shallows, then took off out of the Bay. I let her run a number times, letting the drag go and waiting for the bobber to surface before reeling in. The Muskie tried to dive under the dock a couple times, but I was able to keep it out. After about 20 minutes was able to net the Trophy. Once we got it untangled from the net, took the photos, then spent about 10 minutes nursing it back into the water, where it final jumped back to life, ready to fight another day.
