- Catch Story: The third cast after a beautiful bald eagle flew right over the boat he felt a heavy weight on the end of the line. A quick head jerk in shallow water revealed pretty quickly a giant muskie on the line. He loudy shouted and jumped in the air, "It's a Muskie!" Since he was fishing with light tackle and rod (we can't give a way all our secrets) we were all very excited. After turning the motor on to follow it twice, losing it out of the net once, having it swim into the weeds and getting weeds stuck in the eyes of the pole, and a 15 min fight, three of us finally got the monster into the boat. After a large toothed struggle to get the hook loose and the fish measured he finally hoisted it into the air with the biggest smile on his face. At 51.5 inches long and 23.5 inches in girth, it was so big, it topped out any scale we had. The big guy took over 10 min to acclimate back into the water. But he eventually swam off to be lust after by every fisherman to come.
