  • Catch Story: Three of our Boy Scouts (troop 408) caught 3 youth master angler Small Mouth Bass on 3 consecutive catches. All with leeches and slip bobbers. We had 7 people cheering them on. The parents were yelling cheering when the first 17" Small Mouth Bass was caught by Joe Juliano. Joe fought the fish off the bank of our camp site. We all really wanted to see him land the fish and when it was safely netted, we all went nuts. Then Zach Hodge had his bobber taken. It kep taking out his drag and Zach had a fight on his hands. Joe Juliano grabbed the net and made sure the fish didn't get away. When Zach pulled in the second straight master angler Small Mouth Bass at 16.5". Everyone was already in a frenzy and we began jumping around and high fiving. We all really went nuts again. Then a 3rd boy Nate Wegner's line took off. We could tell it was another whopper by the way it kept taking his line. After a few minutes of fighting, Nate reeled in another 17" Small Mouth Bass. Never in our lives had the parents seen such amazing catches so close together. They were record fish for the boys, and a life time memory for the parents and the children alike. In the picture are (from left to right) Zach Hodge, Joe Juliano and Nate Wegner.
