- Catch Story: My wife, or fiance at the time was having a bridal shower at a friends house so her friends husband and I went fishing for the day. We started fishing walleye, didn't have much luck so we switched to bass and then I saw a big bowfin so we headed back to the truck where I had my bow. Went back to the spot and found the bowfin and shot it, then we decided to bow fish for a while. Not knowing much about the lake we stumbled onto a little creek feeding into the lake and there were a few carp hanging around there. I saw two nice ones sitting close to the surface and picked the bigger of the two and shot. Didn't realize how big it was until it was next to the boat, but that turned out to be my personal best carp. Good thing we decided to change it up when things weren't going our way with game fish.
