- Catch Story: mid morning of July 31st, fishing the Rainy River at the Baudette Bay area casting with white spinner bait the bite was slow that day but when this monster hit the bait all hands were ready to help land him, a 15 minnute battle with many runs and lots of power, a few aligator rolls at the boat insued by another run....really tested my drag, eventually tired out and we netted him got a few pics and quicky back in the water for someone else to enjoy....hopefully me again next year.
