- Catch Story: I was casting a lead head and plastic worm (the worm was green with red and black flakes) into the reeds when the bass hit it as soon as it hit the water, but then got tangled in the reeds. We were able to get up to it and net it before it broke loose. It's the biggest fish I've caught on Rush Lake. We were fishing from a boat in 5 feet of water. It was sunny and the water was 73 degrees and there was a light breeze from the south.
