  • Catch Story: On opening day, we set up over a rock pile looking for walleye. After about an hour at our spot, and 4 walleye, I had a strong hit. It stayed down so I knew I had a pretty good fish. When it got close to the boat it made a run so, even though I hadn't seen it, I knew it was a northern. My previous biggest northern was roughly 3 pounds and immediately my fishing partner knew it was going to be big. After about 5 or 6 runs, the fish had nothing left in the tank and decided to show himself. I immediately got excited. It was the biggest fish I had ever caught. My buddy put the net down and got most of the fish in it and we lifted the net into the boat as fast as we could. As soon as we had it in the boat, we went crazy!!
