- Catch Story: Fishing north of Two Harbors, Minnesota in a deep bay near the breaker as I was on a point, casted out with a nice panher Martin deep diver spinner on my fly pole on 6 lb test. Guy walks up and says, "How's the fishing?" As I am reeling in about 40 yards out, bam!, I see a silver streak hit my lure and the fight was on. Three times I brought him near the rocks and three times he took off with my reel zinging. When he came in the last time I was worried I would lose him as there were many sunken rocks. I was very surprised to find I caught a rare silver coho salmon. Measured him at 23 inches, 3 pounds 9 ounces.
