Within the heart of Minnesota’s lake country, in the town of New York Mills, a dedicated team of anglers, engineers and craftsmen build the most legendary aluminum boats in the history of fishing: Lund.

G. Howard Lund began the company with humble beginnings, after a salesman for a boat dealership spotted Mr. Lund’s homemade duck boat strapped to the roof of his car. The salesman ordered 50 duck boats from Howard and the Lund Boat Company was born. That was back in the 1940s.

By the mid-50s, the company employed up to 15 men and they have grown ever since. Today Lund Boats are synonymous with quality, safety, innovation and fishability. They manufacture everything from 10-foot jon boats to 20+ foot aluminum and fiberglass premium fishing boats. An angler simply cannot go fishing on a Minnesota lake and not see new and old Lund Boats in all directions.
