- Catch Story: I caught this Saugeye on the Cottonwood River, Brown County at about 5 pm. My dad netted the fish and we measured it at 27 inches. We are estimating the weight, as we did not weigh it. After taking pictures, we released it. The MN DNR Regional Fisheres Manager was shown the pictures to confirm it was a Saugeye.
