Aquatic Invasive Species Panel

October 17, 2012 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm

Ward hosts aquatic invasive species panel

State Rep. John Ward, DFL – Brainerd, will host a forum to discuss the threat of aquatic invasive species with a panel of area and Department of Natural Resources (DNR) officials from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Oct. 17, at Ideal Township Town Hall. The event is being co-hosted by the Crow Wing Lakes and Rivers Alliance (LARA). The public and all area officials are invited to attend.

“The spread of aquatic invasive species is a serious threat to our beautiful lakes, rivers and streams, and to our important tourism industry — and the good jobs it creates,” said Rep. Ward. “It’s a problem that we must continue fighting and working together to find solutions. This should be a great discussion and I encourage people to attend.”

The town hall is at 35458 Butternut Point Road, Pequot Lakes.
