- Catch Story: While plugging for walleye this little darling hit the lure. I thought a big northern had hit it, and I did not even have a steel leader on. My brother-in-law had advised me to loosen my drag because he was putting up a heck of a fight I played him for over 5 minutes before he came out of the water and we were both shocked to see it was a massive Bass. I didn't think I would be able to bring it in on my store bought pre-spun 8 pound test rod and reel. None the less I played him for another 15 minutes before I got him to the boat and my brother-in-law/guide was able to net him successfully. It was 4 days before bass season opened so we released this beautiful Bass. I want to give a special THANK YOU to my Father-in-law who keeps me coming back year after year especially after getting totally skunked last year. Super Cool - Dave W.
