- Catch Story: Amazing chunk of northern. I caught this fish near a beaver dam, casting a small walleye crank bait with 8 pound mono for walleye. Took me a good 15 minutes to tire him out because we were in a canoe I didnt want to get an energetic northern this big I'm the boat.
