- Catch Story: I was fishing for crappies and had just switched from an Acme Tungsten Jig to a Mr.Crappie 1/8oz jig. After 5 minutes of jigging, I felt a dead weight on my line. As I reeled in, it began to fight. It made several plunges back down deep when I got it to the hole. My headlight had gone out, so I couldn't see what it was. I reached for my cellphone to provide some illumination. I reached in the hole and pulled it out, and to my surprise, it was the largest walleye I'd ever caught. I'd heard the lake I was on produced walleye since it was connected to Lake Minnetonka by 6-mile creek, but I never thought anything this substantial would be there.
